We have 22 distribution centres in 8 countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland) and pharmacy operations in 5 countries (Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland). In addition, we operate in pharmaceutical wholesaling in Russia through a minority stake.

For the financial year 2009/10, Tamro Group posted net sales of approximately EUR 5.5 billion. Measured in net sales, Tamro Group is Finland's 10th largest company (2010). The company employs more than 5,500 staff.

Tamro is public company registered in Finland and owned by an international pharmaceutical wholesaler, PHOENIX Group. Tamro Group's headquarters are located in the Tamro House in Vantaa, Finland.

Tamro's Finnish roots extend back to 1895, when four pharmacists founded a wholesale company called Tampereen Rohdoskauppayhtiö. The history of Tamro's business unit in Denmark, Nomeco A/S, starts in 1801.
