An attractive working place for talented people
Tamro’s corporate culture encourages employees to be creative, look for new sales and service ideas and to find innovative ways of working and solving problems. As a vital player in the healthcare chain, Tamro is an attractive working place for talented people who want to make a difference.
Tamro has a flat and flexible organisation that provides employees with opportunities for self-development and constant learning. Through Tamro’s thorough induction programme, all new employees are quickly familiarised with Tamro’s business environment.
Tamro is actively promoting talents. In case of vacancies on any managerial level, internal recruits are being actively searched and assessed before the company considers external candidates.
Motivation and encouragement lead to success
Tamro’s Danish business unit Nomeco implemented a new Human Resources Management system in 2007. The system enables the documentation of competence demands and educational plans for all employees. Also an extensive training programme – the Supplier Academy – was launched for administrative personnel.
In Finland, Tamro offers several training programmes at all organisational levels. An action plan based on the 2006 personnel satisfaction survey was completed by the end of last year. All departments as well as the management team completed the development plans for 2007. The new personnel survey conducted in December 2007 showed a clear improvement in personnel satisfaction. It positions Tamro Finland as a better than average employer in Finland.
The lack of skilled pharmacists a challenge
In Norway as well as in almost all Tamro Group countries with retail business, the recruitment of pharmacists continued to be challenging. Tamro tries to overcome this difficult challenge by increasing international recruitment. Tamro offers new recruits and their families a comprehensive training package including language and cultural training. For example Apokjeden employs a great number of pharmacists, mostly from Norway but also from other European countries. Open positions are actively marketed outside Norway.
All Tamro business units have active personnel development programs in place. These include leadership and management skills programs, professional skills training for pharmacists and warehouse personnel as well as various languages, IT and marketing courses.
