Tamro has an all important role in the healthcare chain. Our mission is to deliver medicines fast and reliably to all our customers in all our markets. The quality of our operations is key to our success and we are dedicated to always follow high ethics, laws and business practises. As the health of our environment causes ever increasing concern to societies globally it is also our responsibility to try and make our business practises as sustainable as possible. Tamro Group thus commits to run the business according to its new sustainability policy.

Tamro Group is dedicated to the practise of sound environmental stewardship and to providing a safe and healthy workplace to all Tamro employees. These values are emphasized through all levels of responsibility within Tamro Group.

Tamro Group is committed to meeting relevant environmental regulations and requirements through the continual development of our environmental management systems. Tamro Group will create and monitor annual environmental objectives and targets to meet this commitment.

Tamro Group will develop and improve operations and technologies to minimise waste and any other pollution, minimise health and safety risks, and dispose of waste safely and responsibly.

Tamro Group ensures that all employees are sufficiently trained to understand and comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations and Tamro Group Sustainability Policy.

Tamro Group provides a safe and healthy workplace and ensures that personnel are properly trained with the appropriate safety and emergency equipment and rescue plans.

Tamro Group will communicate openly and proactively with staff, customers, authorities and other stakeholders about the Group sustainability policy and sustainability practices.

Tamro Group addresses sustainability throughout our value chain, and we at all times encourage our suppliers and partners to comply with Tamro Groups’ sustainability policy and practices.

Tamro Group is committed to continuous improvement of its sustainability practises and will monitor of progress and review of sustainability performance on a regular basis.

CSR- A local effort

Most of Tamro’s corporate social responsibility programs are executed at the local level. The projects vary from environmental programs to support for local kindergartens. For example Apokjeden contributes to the Pharmaciens Sans Frontières and begun the development of a quality and environmental management system to meet the qualifications of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Tamro Sweden already has the ISO 14001 environment standard and Tamro Finland will conduct a thorough environmental analysis in the Tampere distributions centre in 2008.
